Abstract

Effectiveness of Structured Teaching Program me on knowledge Regarding Substance abuse It’s Effects among adolescents age group 13-15 years in selected school at Hapur, U.P. Objectives: This study aim to assess the pre existing level of knowledge on substance abuse and its effects. To develop Structured Teaching Program me on knowledge regarding Substance abuse and its Effects. To reassess the post test knowledge on substance abuse & its effects. To determine the effectiveness of structured teaching Program me on substance abuse and its effects by comparing mean pre test and Post test knowledge score of adolescents. To determine the association the post test knowledge score with their selected socio demographical variables. Methodology: A pre experimental one group pre test post test design for this study. Data Collection took place from January to May 2018 via self Structured Questionnaire. A total of 60 adolescents students in ach group 13-15 years in Rama Secondary school, Ghaziabad. 60 samples are selected by the Non-Probability convenient sample techniques. Results: The Pre test Mean ±S.D. Knowledge score was 8.43±4.12, Mean% 24.08%, But Post Test Mean ±S.D. 18.67±3.72, Mean % 53.34%. The effectiveness of Mean ±S.D. 10.24±0.4, Mean % 29.36%. Improvement in the knowledge score of the adolescents’ students from Pre test to post test is tested for statistical significance using student’s Paired “t” test (t: 14.62), show significance difference between pre & post test score (p<0.05)
