AbstractThe emerging inclination in this LIS profession is integrated or associated with the changing environment of employers, professional associations or discussion forums, networks, and users; advanced technology, transparency with which information is communicated; differentiation and scope of profession, uniqueness, uniformity; inter-disciplinarianism, internationalization; and harmonization. These factors influence the revitalization of the LIS teaching, learning, and practicing system. This paper examines the professional attitudes towards job satisfaction and expectations among library and information science (LIS) professionals working in deemed and private university libraries in Karnataka.
