AbstractThe best practice is one of the essential characteristics in the academic and higher education environment in the present scenario. All we know is that we are in the digital and information age, we can say the information rule in all walks of our lives, and libraries and information systems are not an exemption. Best practices serve as benchmarks or standards for guiding decision-making, problem-solving, and performance improvement. They help organizations to provide a framework for standardizing processes and procedures, ensuring consistency in operations and outcomes. This paper has focussed on the adoption of best practices in Meenakshi Medical College Hospital and Research Institute (MMCHRI) Central Library located at Kanchipuram run by Meenakshi Academy of Higher Education and Research (MAHER) deemed to be a University in Chennai.
