All the authors are obliged to provide their ORCID number when submitted, wherever available.

What is ORCID?

ORCID, Inc. Open Researcher and Contributor ID is a non-profit organization that provides researchers around the world with a single, universal identification system that can be used throughout their careers, regardless of their affiliation or name change. This digital identifier distinguishes each researcher from the other and allows them to keep records of their academic outputs, including publications, data sets and other research activities. The Red Flower Publications is committed to promoting transparent and reliable links between researchers and to recognizing the importance of a broader digital infrastructure that allows researchers to share information at global levels.

What are the advantages of authors with an ORCID iD?

There are many researchers who have the same name, but they may change their name or publish under different names throughout their careers. With ORCID IDs you are correctly linked to your research work. If you use your ORCID iD during the submission process and allow Crossref to accept it, we will update the ORCID record when you publish an article with us.

How do I include the ORCID iD in my Red Flower Publications profile?

After logging in, you can either enter it in the section "Update my Details" of the user interface. Also, when submitting a document, step 1 of your details contains a field where you can enter your ORCID iD.

The authenticated ORCID iDs we collect are included in the articles metadata and PDF. This allows you to display your ORCID iD alongside your name in the online version and also triggers Crossref's automatic update function. Crossref will send an ORCID email notification requesting permission to update your ORCID record with the published article.
