Dr. Devendra Kumar, M.A. (Ancient Indian History), MLIS, M.Phil. (LIS), Ph.D. (LIS) is presently working as Assistant Professor-Library in Higher Education Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh. Presently posted at Government Girls Degree College, Kharkhauda, Meerut (U.P.). Prior to this, he served in Central Library and Department of Library & Information Science, CCS University, Meerut (U.P.) from 25 September 2002 to 29 October 2011. He has 21 years of teaching/research, and 23 years of professional experience in the field of Library & Information Science. Dr. Devendra Kumar's latest 15 research papers have been published in international research journals (UGC listed / peer-reviewed), 31 research papers have been published in national research journals (UGC listed/peer-reviewed), 02 books have been published by international publishers, 01 edited book, 07 book chapters, and 11 seminar proceedings have been published by national publishers. Apart from this, 49 research papers have been presented in national and international seminars/conferences. He is a member of IASLIC, Uttar Pradesh State College Academic Society, United Progressive Library Association (UPLA), Uttar Pradesh Library Association (UPLA), Life Member of SLPA, Vice President of CCS University and College Librarians Association (MUCLA).
