She did her MD ANATOMY from GMCH, Chandigarh. She has more than 7 years teaching and research experience (3year as SR in VMMC& SJH and 4 years as an Assistant professor in AIIMS Guwahati). She has academic and research interests. Her area of research interests is Medical education, Dissection (to identify variations), Embryology (studies the genetic control of development process, karyotyping, certain diseases, mutations, and stem cell research), Neuroanatomy, Plastination, and Vascular corrosive techniques
