About

I was working as Consultant and Head in Institute of Emergency Medicine, Medeor Hospital, Gurgaon, Haryana. This is a tertiary care hospital and the Emergency department is around 21 bedded. We see an average 45 to 60 patients in a day and I work in full clinical shifts and independently. I have the added responsibility of teaching the young residents in my department and also guide them for preparing for the MRCEM exam. I am also responsible for looking after the Research/Thesis work of the emergency medicine residents. I am the Guide and Co-Guide of about 6 research projects of the junior residents. I see both adult and pediatric trauma patients and also deal with critically ill medical and cardiology patients. I am the senior most physician during the night shifts and have the sole responsibility for deciding the disposition of all patients in the ED. All the residents report to me and update me regarding the patients they have evaluated and I guide them for taking the clinical decision in best interest of the patient. I also do bed-side clinical examination training for the emergency medicine residents.

Presently I am heading the Emergency Department of Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Kolkata, West Bengal. Around 30 bedded Emergency and involved in both Clinical and Administrative works. My present Hospital is around 450 bedded hospital.
