Introduction: Although optional medical management has reduced the difficulties faced by Thalassemic children and their families, still the psychosocial impact on the development of the sick children and family is a continuous process throughout life. It is possible that uneducated, poor and socially maladjusted parents are more affected in comparison to those who are educated, economically sound and socially well adjusted.
