Online Learning Management Systems are the application software for administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, automation and delivery of educational courses, training programs, or learning and development programs. They have become the necessity of the present environment in new normal era after Covid-19 impact. This paper discusses about some of the important LMSs and compares open source LMSs with commercially available LMSs.

The present study entitled as “Use of Open Access Resources by the Research Scholars and Faculty Members of Alagappa University and its Affiliated Colleges: A Study” has been taken up for investigation of Open Access Resources usage by the Research Scholars and Faculty Members of Alagappa University and its Affiliated Colleges. The problem chosen for the present study is to develop the information society. There is a continuous growth in the production and use of Open Access Resources. In this study we tried to find out that up to what level of research scholars and faculty members are aware of using Open Access Resources. The findings shows that out of 456 respondents considered for the study 178 [39%] were male and remaining 278 [61%] were female. The estimated significance value is greater than 0.05 meaning; the null hypothesis is accepted hence, there is no significant difference in frequency of usage of OAR with respect to gender. From the mean score value it is understood that most of the respondents uses OAR “Almost every time”. The study identifies that many courses are available for research scholars and faculty members to learn about open access resources and online programmes.

Libraries play an important & critical role in Higher education policy, including disseminating information needed by the user with the help of library experts; however, many other professionals are not satisfied with their jobs. The library professional’s service level depends upon their sense of dedication and this dedication is dependent on the satisfaction which is generally come up from their job. A very clear relationship between management and library professionals certainly helps for better coordination & promotes smooth running of regular activities of the library department. Methods: Mean was used to calculate the mean score in this study for the variables such as motivation or reasons for joining the job, attitude towards the job and satisfaction. A chi square test calculates the association / establishes the association between two categorical or nominal variables. In the present study the variables have been taken as age and marital status along with the satisfaction of women librarians with the job. Correlation is calculated to establish the relationship between two variables. In the present study correlation has been used to establish the relationship between male-female ratio and satisfaction and also male female ratio and attitude towards job. Results: The Analysis revealed that the Pearson Chi-square value is 0.151. This value is above the critical value i.e. 0.05, hence there is no significant association of the various age groups with respect to the satisfaction of women librarians. The Pearson Chi-square value is .000 this value is below the critical value i.e. 0.05, the null hypothesis is therefore rejected and accepted as having an important appendage of the alternative hypothesis age groups with the satisfaction of women librarians with their professional’s status. Conclusion: Based on the findings it is concluded thatthere is no significant association of the various age groups with respect to the satisfaction of women librarians.

Background: Health information is a system that entails collecting, reporting and using in order to assist the health professionals for better decision making. In case the health records are not maintained properly it affects the patient’s healthcare. Therefore, this study was to investigate the factors affecting the utilization of health information in case of Jimma University specialized hospital. Materials and Methods: A cross sectional study design was employed with both the quantitative and qualitative data collection methodology. The sample size was selected using simple random sampling technique. Quantitative data were entered and analyzed using SPSS version 20.0, while qualitative data was transcribed, categorized into themes for easy interpretation and analysis. Results: A total of 167 health professionals were participated with the response rate of 87%. The experience ranged between 6-10 years (50%) and the JU hospital has engaged only 40% of health professionals as fulltime employees and hence there were lack of records / reports about the health information. Most of them are not satisfied on the current status of health information and also they are not motivated properly. Conclusions: The research found that most of the respondents are not happy with the existing health information. Utilization of health information is low and it is attributed to the system quality by the health professionals. The factors that are to be reinforced like lack of confidence, motivational factors, health professionals engagement levels, lack of resources and consensus between seniors and user departments. It is recommended to have more resources with more openings and periodic training.

The paper aims to identify the areas for libraries’ attention towards developing understanding to keep pace with geographic information services with the subject progress and factors behind the gap. The paper has been built on narrative literature review on few selective segments related to GIS and library approaches. Authors collected articles from Web of Science and Google Scholar platform to scan evidence-based practices. The SANRA scale has been applied in the article and the approach was to find a framework for sharing academic libraries practices. All reviewed articles were rated based on 6 SANRA criteria and aspects as performed descriptive statistics analysis. The recent times have witnessed close collaboration between library service providers and geographic information users; both as information consumers and information developers. This aspect of library and information services requires attention in academic libraries to serve in the geographical disciplines users in many fold ways as this study impetrates speculations and notions of convolutions to both geographic subject information services outlook and milieu. Observations through SANRA scale analysis and thorough interpretations based on reviewed literature in this study are significant contributions to the relation of geography information tools and library services.

The main objective of the study is that the use pattern of electronic information resources by the faculty members of Osmania University. The study was conducted through structured questionnaire administered to 120 faculty members 90 questionnaires were received. The paper compares the engineering, science and social science faculty use pattern of e-resources, purpose of use of e-resources, reasons to use e-resources, problems faced while accessing e-resources and mode of training required to access e-resources. Study reveals that majority of the faculty use pattern of e-resources is read findings and conclusion. The purpose of use of e-resources is to update knowledge, science and social science faculty is spending more time than engineering faculty in searching the electronic resources. The main reason to use electronic resource is easy to search, faster search, multiple user access. The study also highlighted on major problems in accessing electronic resource is irrelevant information, huge number of hits, network connectivity, finally faculty expressed that hands on experience training is required to maximum utility of electronic resources.
