This case study conducted at the Government Degree College for Women (A) in Kadapa town reveals the nature and use of the college library. It evaluates in detail the type of material, sources and services used by the students. It also evaluates the level of student satisfaction in finding information about the collection, time and contribution of the library staff. Survey research method is adopted for the study. Two structured questionnaires were distributed one is for librarian and another one for women undergraduate Sudeten’s of the institute. Analysis of data is done through percentages and Chi-square tests.

This Article focuses on the awareness and use of social network sites by engineering graduates of C. Byregowda Institute of Technology, Kolar, Karnataka (CBIT). The main aim is to know the devices used to connect internet, how often students access Social Network sites and purpose of using SNS etc. The study adopted a survey design and data was collected from the respondents using a questionnaire. The major finding of the study are majority of the respondents are using mobile phone to connect internet. Majority of the respondents comes to know the social network sites from their friends. Face book places first of the favorite Social network site for the respondents.

This study aims to explore the growth and development of distance education in Bangladesh. It tries to express the reasons behind the establishment of distance education system in Bangladesh. The intent of this study is to find out the initiatives and activities of different institutions that are involved in developing distance education in Bangladesh. The study found that the idea of distance education system in Bangladesh started in 1956 through the establishment of Audio Visual Cell (AVC). At present, Bangladesh Open University is the only public university that offers education for all through distance mode in Bangladesh.

Citation studies are used to ascertain various objectives, such as the most cited author, books, edited books and the journals etc. They also help in developing the collection of any library in any particular discipline. The present study is carried out to ascertain that what are the major sources of information in Botany discipline and what the Botanists tend to cite. This study further will be useful in developing library collection in Botany subject.

Knowledge management can be closely linked with activities that overlapped with library practices. Lack of credence on how this two concept interwoven makes library and information science professionals to held distinct understanding of the concept knowledge management, most especially on how it relate to librarianship and information management, that there is no unity of consensus on which knowledge management definition should be considered universally acceptable. The study adopted a survey research design in exploring the perception and attitude of library and information science professionals in Tamil Nadu towards knowledge management. Librarians in (CLNs) constitute the unit of analysis and their total population stood at 5,437 from which a sample size of 3000 was drawn using clustered random sampling techniques. Questionnaire is the instrument for data collection which was administered on a web-based platform, Proprofs survey maker (www.proprofs.com). But due to difficulties associated with web-based questionnaire, Only 389 participants respond to the survey, and a total number of usable, fully completed questionnaire is 369. Collected data was subjected to descriptive statistical analysis. The study reported that LIS professionals in Tamil Nadu perceived knowledge management as an allied field of study that expands the horizon of the profession, even though some still perceived it as another name for information management. This study suggested that, regulatory bodies and library associations should educate professional on the position of LIS professionals in knowledge management through seminars, research report, conference proceedings, symposiums and any other means at their disposal.
