About


Dr Upendra Baitha has been involved in teaching, research & patient care at various tertiary care centres after completing his MBBS degree. Currently, he is working as an Additional Professor in the Dept. of Medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi. He has been awarded prestigious fellowship of IMSA and IACM and also Membership of NAMS in the recognition and appreciation of outstanding contribution in the field of medical research. He has also been expert member of many central government bodies and committee like ICMR, MoHFW, CBSE. He is member of Editorial Board of various journals. He is involved in medical education (MBBS, MD, DM ID & B.Sc. nursing), research and patient care in IPD & OPDs, Special Clinics. He has been involved in research for many years & having vast knowledge, experience in the area of Infectious Diseases and Metabolic & Obesity Disorders and critical care. He has completed many intramural & extramural projects as PI and there are several ongoing projects under him. He served proactively in awareness, education & management of COVID 19 patients during the pandemic and contributed in making of National Guideline as an Expert member of National guidelines of Dengue Case Management during COVID-19 pandemic, 2020. He has contributed as expert of National guideline of Clinical Management of Dengue Fever,2023 and National guideline of Clinical Management of Chikungunya Fever, 2023. He has also published so many research scientific paper in various national and international journals and written many chapters in the books. He has been actively involved in many national community services like medical camps, print and electronic media(Radio, TV channels and social sites program). He is member of various national & international medical professional societies & bodies. He has been attending various national & international conferences and presenting & chairing oral and poster research paper.
