Introduction


Dr. Aspin R., PhD (N), is the Vice Principal and Professor at Fatima College of Nursing, Gorakhpur, and the Chief Editor of the Journal of Psychiatric Nursing. With over 14 years of professional experience in psychiatric nursing education and clinical practice, Dr. Aspin has become a respected leader in advancing mental health care and education.

He earned his PhD in Nursing from Maharaj Vinayak Global University, Jaipur, with research focusing on the myths, beliefs, and perceptions about mental health disorders in rural and urban populations. Dr. Aspin also holds an MSc in Psychiatric Nursing from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, and a BSc in Nursing. He is a life member of the Indian Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN) and other esteemed professional organizations.

Dr. Aspin’s contributions to psychiatric nursing are significant, with numerous publications in indexed journals addressing topics like adolescent mental health, stress management, and innovative teaching methodologies. His work has been recognized with awards such as the Best Teacher Award by the Research India Foundation. He is also a published author and patent holder, with books on mental health and a digital detox device.
