As a paid member of the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) system, we have been assigned a unique prefix, ensuring that our published articles are easily identifiable and accessible. We adhere to the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency. Our editorial board members are publicly listed on each journal page, promoting accountability and expertise. Furthermore, we utilize the Crossref Similarity Check powered by iThenticate, a robust plagiarism detection software, to verify the originality of all published articles.
Why Article Processing Charges?
To maintain the high quality of our publications and ensure global accessibility, we incur significant costs. The publishing fees we charge are necessary to offset these expenses, which include managing article submission and peer review processes, professional typesetting, tagging, and indexing of articles, color reproductions for manuscripts with color images, hosting articles on secure, dedicated servers, and supporting sales and marketing efforts to promote global dissemination.
Article Processing Charges Waiver Policy
The Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, and reviewers of our journals are exempt from Article Processing Charges for up to 3 articles per year, where they are the main/first author. For submissions exceeding 3 articles per year, a 30% discount on Article Processing Charges will be applied. Additionally, articles recommended by our Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board members, and reviewers are also eligible for a 30% discount on Article Processing Charges.
Authors affiliated with institutions in Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka are eligible for a 50% discount on the Article Processing Charge. Additionally, authors who have secured funding from research institutions, universities, or other funding agencies are entitled to a 30% discount on this fee.
Authors from Bangladesh and Nepal are eligible for a special offer, allowing them to pay processing charges at Indian rates. Please note that this rate does not include a printed copy of the issue. However, authors will receive free online access to the issue for 3 months from the date of publication.
No refund or credit will be offered in the following circumstances
Delays caused by editorial decisions or author revisions are a normal part of the publishing process. As such, we do not offer refunds or credits for these types of delays.
Article Processing Charges are non-refundable in cases where articles are retracted, withdrawn, or replaced due to author error, misconduct, or plagiarism detection.
In exceptional cases where an article is completely removed after acceptance for publication, Red Flower Publications will not provide a refund or credit for the Article Processing Charge. This is because we have already invested in providing publishing services, and the removal of the article does not negate this investment. Typically, removal is due to circumstances beyond our control, and we rely on the Article Processing Charge to recoup our costs.
We guarantee a refund of the Article Processing Charge if an error on our part prevents an article from being published under the selected print and online terms, as chosen by the authors.
Refunds will be provided for articles that are rejected, but a 20% rejection charge will be deducted from the original payment amount. The remaining balance will be refunded to the author.
Terms and Conditions for Authors: Article Processing Charges
- For most of our journals, the Article Processing Charge (APC) fee is due immediately upon submission of the article.
- For The Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine and Pathology, Article Processing Charges (APCs) are payable upon receipt of the acceptance letter, not upon submission.
- We will not initiate the processing of any article until the required APC fee has been received.
- Payment of the APC fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of the article.
- The submission fee includes 3 months of online access and a printed copy of the issue. However, authors residing outside of India will incur an additional USD70 charge for postage and handling.
- The submission fee is inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), as mandated by government regulations.
