Manuscript Language Assessment
All manuscripts are subject to a standard Manuscript Language Assessment when first submitted to a Red Flower Publications journal. This will ensure that editors and peer reviewers receive a clear and well-described manuscript, which will allow for a faster and more accurate review process.
Manuscript Language Assessment uses artificial intelligence testing to identify English language errors, including missing articles, misuse of prepositions, subject verb agreements, verb tenses, noun numbers, and spelling. Then the language quality of the manuscript is determined based on the number of errors detected.
After completing the manuscript language assessment, we may require a manuscript to be undergo into English before the manuscript is peer reviewed. In such cases, the contact author will be informed that the English editing is required. At the moment, we will also provide a copy of the manuscript language assessment report, which will highlight the identified errors.
The Manuscript Language Assessment Report classifies language errors into two major categories, highlighted in different colours. These categories are spelling errors (yellow) and grammar/missing words (blue).

Please note that the manuscript language assessment report is generated automatically and therefore some errors may not have been detected. Consequently, any identified errors will be highlighted for your reference, but we recommend that your complete manuscript undergo complete copy editing to ensure that all language errors are corrected. This generally results better than the individual correction of highlighted errors.
Furthermore, a manuscript language assessment report will only be sent when we determine that a manuscript requires English translation. If you do not receive a report, your manuscript has passed this evaluation and is moved to the next phase of the editorial process.
