The present paper describes the development of the Bharatesh Education Trust’s Global Business School Library website. The aim of the website is to serve as a guide to the library resources, services and links to other libraries and sources. Joomla, Content Management System (CMS) software was used to develop the library website. It is found from the study that Joomla is a dynamic CMS platform in terms of extensions or templates, updateness. Without the knowledge of coding languages (like HTML, SGML, XML, etc.) anybody can create and develop library website.

Textile engineering is one of the least popular branches of engineering in compare to other such as computer science, information technology, electronic science engineering etc. Haryana an agriculture based state of India has only two textile engineering institutes. The aim of the study was for users to estimate the performance of textile engineering institute libraries of Haryana, and find out the user preferences for library services. A survey of users from the Technological Institute of Textile and Sciences (TITS) and Panipat Institute of Textile & Engineering (PITE) libraries is conducted. The results show that majority of the respondents rate good to the library services (inter library loan, photocopy & reference) in both Institute Libraries.

The purpose of this study was to examine the patterns of use by the scientists and other users in four libraries of Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) located in Lucknow. The study also presents results regarding internet resources used and the problems faced by users. A questionnaire was used to collect data from the Scientists as well as other researchers in CSIR libraries. The investigator received back 150 questionnaires out of 180. A large population among the sample chosen use internet for research purpose. Notably, subject related web sites are highly used. Users, however, are in favour of having some training programmes to equip them more in the use of Internet. Slow speed is a common problem in all Laboratories. This is the first study related to the use of Internet in CSIR libraries of Lucknow. Findings should help CSIR to strengthen the infrastructure and improve the library services. At the larger level, the study could be beneficial for libraries, information centres that are still grapping with the basics of internet particularly in developing countries.

The aim of this article is to know the term Information Technology and use of Information Technology in Libraries and current status of MPKV Library Rahuri. This IT study therefore scrutinizes the availability and utilization of IT in establishment of Digital Library. University library taking the best results from Information Technology with hardware like Printer, Barcode Reader, Barcode Printer, Scanners and moving toward fully computerized library. And for more benefits university library also decided to make almost all services through computers via Internet and LAN. At present e-GRANTH NAIP project is in progress with the financial assistance of ICAR, New Delhi through which AgriCat (National) and WorldCat (International) union catalogue is going to be developed.

This study examined language skills in the context of library books cataloguing and classification and discovered a synergy between reading skills and cataloguing/classification process. Librarians will overcome the peculiar problem of assigning wrong subject heading(s) and class marks to library books only if they are equipped with literal, inferential, evaluative and creative reading comprehension skills. Librarians must understand the morph syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features in the texts that they are to catalogue. This linguistic knowledge and application require exposing students of Library Science to Applied Librarianship Pedagogy.

We analyze citation frequencies of Bharathidasan University for Web of Science Database in the field of Science in India over 27 years. Integrating and cleaning data from Web of Science obtain the citation data.  Our analysis considers different comparative metrics per publication venue, in particular the Global Citation Score and Local Citation Score etc. We also determine the most cited papers, authors, author institutions etc.

The study examine the information access pattern among the Chemistry faculties have interested to visit the academic Libraries and other information centers to access the various resources for academic purpose. The Study relates to the nature and importance of the latent aspects of the information use behaviour by the Chemistry teachers in Arts and Science Colleges in Tiruchirappalli region, Tamilnadu. Though it is assumed in information user studies that the employees in general tend to be ready to make use of information source and make an attempt to keep abreast of the information published in various sources.

Any large institution with thousands of students and hundreds of teachers should make an effort to find out the pattern of utilization of library by them, from time to time. The feedback so collected is important in deciding about new policies, improving services and also provides information about what are the expectations of the users. Objectives: To find out the extent of use of library by faculty, to identify utilization of facilities other than books in the library by them and to suggest ways to improve the resources in the library. Subjects and methods: The study was carried out in a medical college in South India. All the teachers in the departments of anatomy, physiology, bio-chemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, forensic medicine and community medicine were included in the study. The data was collected by using a pre-tested structured questionnaire. Results and conclusion: Seventy  six teachers belonging to nonclinical departments responded.Junior teachers attended library more often when compaed to senior teachers. Frequency of library visits decreased with the increase in the seniority of the teachers. One of the reasons could be that most of the teachers without higher qualifications [junior teachers] were preparing for higher studies hence likely to have spent more time in central library in preparation for various entrance examinations. Availability of internet facilities throughout the campus and the fact that all senior faculty are provided with personal laptops, probably decreases the need to attend central library frequently.
