Dr. Meena Goswami born on 21stJuly 1984 in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh and is currently working as Associate Professor, Assistant Professor in Department of Livestock Products Technology, College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, DUVASU, Mathura. She completed her B.V.Sc. &A.H. and M.V.Sc. (Livestock Products Technology) from Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT), Pantnagar in 2008 and 2010 respectively, thereafter she received Ph.D. from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), Izatnagar in 2015 with Honors and distinction. She has been actively involved in under-graduate as well as post-graduate teaching, research and extension activities for more than 12years. She has guided 6 M.V.Sc. students as major advisor and has been member, Advisory Committee of number of post-graduate students. She has successfully handled five extra-mural as well as university funded projects in capacity of PI/Co-PI. She has published more than 80 research papers, 12 book chapters, 7 manuals and 40 review/technical articles. She has also presented number of invited lectures at different professional platforms. She is an executive body member of Indian Meat Science Association (IMSA) and also holding the lifetime membership of seven professional societies including American Meat Science Association (AMSA) and Institute of Food Technologists-Networking and Engagement Membership, USA. She is recipient of a number of awards and recognitions like Associate fellowship award from National Academy of Dairy Science (India), Member follow award from National Academy of Veterinary Science, Inspiring Lady Veterinarian Award 2021, National Excellence Ram Singh Memorial National Animal welfare Award 2020, Young Scientist Award by Agro Environmental Development Society, 2021 and Indian Meat Scientist Association (IMSA) appreciation certificate 2022 besides several best oral/poster awards in National/International Seminars. She has also attended 6 months international overseas training at Oklahoma State University. She is National editorial board member of many reputed National and International journals. She has also organized training programs for food safety officers, Veterinary officers, farmers, women and rural youth in different capacities. She holds well recognized expertise is development of functional products of animal origin for consumers suffering from different life style disorders, shelf life extension of perishable livestock products with natural phyto-chemicals and nano emulsified essential oils and development of cost effective dried pet foods with efficient utilization of byproducts and agro-waste.
